Magazine Analysis
Today my group and i filmed the last section of our teaser trailer which i believe went well i will upload pictures later to show the filming process.
For the magazine cover we have created an Empine magazine cover using a photo we took of one of our films main characters. The image was then taken to a website which specialises in making magazine covers aafter we had gone through this process we edited the magazine cover on photoshop addin the 007 logo and the batman logo as extra layers we had also added the 4 1/2 stars as a quick review for Batman the dark knight rises which is set to be released in the summer, but as we have our film  to be released in october 2012 we made it seem that magazine was the september 2012 edition.
This weekend my group and I filmed a few scenes from our teaser trailer. We travelled to Wapping to film and had got some very good footage which we will edit on a later date. We planned on filming our process of filming but the spare camera I had in my bag i had left on and it died so we decided to take photos instead. We got some great shots of the killer walking away so the face can not be seen, we also got some shots of the surroudings which do not seem modern which is the look we are going for i think it has been a productive day and i can not wait to start editing as soon as possible.

After creating the final draft of the film poster i printed it out and asked for feedback from people both within and outside of the sixthform centere. The feedback we receieved was mainly positive and some people believed it was an actual film poster for a film yet to be released. Some of the feedback we received was.

  • "One to watch, the picture does not give away much"

  • "Nice , simple yet effective"

  • "its creepy &Simple, really good looks professional!"

  • "I like the way the M is coloured and bloody it gives an idea what the film may be about when is this set for release?"

  • "The words Masked and Murderer should be bigger"

This is a fraction of the feedback that was given but out of all the feedback that was given there was only one critisicm which was to have the words "Masked" and "Murderer" bigger but besides that our poster has only received positive feedback
  • Vox Pops

The term "vox pop" comes from the Latin phrase vox populi, meaning "voice of the people". The vox pop is a tool used in many forms of media to provide a snapshot of public opinion. Random subjects are asked to give their views on a particular topic and their responses are presented to the viewer/reader as a reflection of popular opinion.
For video and television vox pops, the interviewer approaches people "in the street" and asks them simple questions about the topic. These people will be new to interviews and will often be nervous, flustered, giggly, etc. It's therefore important to make them feel comfortable and relaxed.
We have created a voxpop based on our trailer, magazine cover, and film poster. we used the AS Media students in our 6th form as random people who we ask questions and they give us their opinions about our work.

    Poster And Magazine Cover

When we showed our film poster to the AS Media and English students at Ernest Bevin College, we received different views and thoughts about the film poster and magazine covers which were drafts so we are looking to improve them. we were told that our poster was too simplistic and maybe pictures of scenery should have been used instead.
This is the  first magazine cover a membr of my group created trying to replicate the font and style of a empire magazine. I believe this is a good attempt and i will also have members of my group (including me) create there own  magazine cover to see which one looks as if it could be sold in the shops.
